This tape art installtion was a self-initiated project during Corona times.
Due to the regulations during the Corona crisis, Berlin nightlife came to a standstill and all clubs had to close. Where life had pulsated before, there was now oppressive silence and empty rooms.
To point out the difficulties of the Berlin club scene, we had the idea of turning the Watergate into an art installation. Our goal was to visually reflect the lively and diverse atmosphere and breathe life into the empty Watergate. When it came to the design, LaMia, the co-founder of TAPE OVER, was primarily inspired by the unusual location of the Watergate.
Our artistic initiative was supported by Jägermeister’s SAVE THE NIGHT project.
